Home after deadline

Deadline to File an Appeal in Broward County is 9/18/24 ~follow instructions below ~

We are no longer filing Petitions for the 2024 tax year.

However, you can file a petition on your own before midnight on September 18, 2024 and then have my office represent you at the hearing. Please follow the instructions below:

  1. Go to https://bcvab.broward.org/AxiaWeb2024/ and fill out the petition.

  2. Click on File a New Petition. On the next page, read and agree to continue.

  3. In the first box, fill in the property owner’s name (it should automatically populate the Parcel Number and address information).

  4. Under “Property Type”, select the type (usually Res 1-4)

  5. Under “Petitioner Type”, select “Taxpayer”. Again, your info should already be filled in at this point.

  6. For “Contact” select how you want to receive notice.

  7. In the next box, where it says “I wish to appeal my”, select “Real Property Value”. Then Select “Decrease” if you are asking to have your value decreased.

  8. Skip down to Part 3 and add your name next to “Taxpayer Name”.

  9. Skip down to AFTER Part 5 and under “Time Needed” select “15 min.”

  10. Skip to the Perjury Statement and finish the form and click “Submit”.

  11. On the next page, select “I'm ready to submit my petitions and want to pay by credit card” and click on the green arrow.

  12. Add your billing information and credit card and submit.

  13. On the next page, select Submit Petitions and Charge Card

  14. Contact my office asap by emailing me here if you would like me to take over the case and attend the hearing. You must contact me at least 20 days prior to any hearing date you may receive.

If you would like us to file your appeal, the initial cost is $50.00. This covers the cost of filing the petition, the filing fee and the work that is put into creating the initial evidence package. That is your only upfront fee.

If we are successful in reducing your taxes, our fee is only 45% of the tax saved. If we do not obtain a reduction, then you do not owe the firm anything.
